Our protection systems are the result of continuous research aimed at guaranteeing our lighting fixtures’ top performance even under the most demanding conditions. From outdoor to indoor fixtures, right through to our solutions for underwater installation in swimming pools and fountains, every product is protected by advanced technologies that ensure continued reliability, durability and resistance.

  • IPS - Intelligent Protection System

    The IPS protects lighting fixtures from water infiltrations, which can occur if there are faulty junctions between the cables in outdoor or underwater applications. This innovation, patented by L&L, also guarantees electrical protection against polarity reversal, safety for hot-plugged devices, resistance to electrostatic discharges (ESD) and protection against power surges, which can occur in the event of a malfunction in the electrical circuit.

  • PID - Protective Impedance Device

    The PID protects lighting fixtures from electrical phenomena external to the system, such as static electricity accumulation or electromagnetic interference coming from the main power. Generally, it is designed to counteract events with a low energy content.

  • EPS - Electrical Protection System

    This symbol identifies a lighting fixture with EPS, the protection system for fixtures for indoor applications against electrical problems. This innovation, patented by L&L, guarantees electrical protection against polarity reversal, hot plugging and voltage spikes of up to 48Vdc, which can occur if there are faults in the electrical circuit.

  • SPD - Surge Protection Device

    This device protects lighting fixtures from electrical phenomena external to the system, such as power surges. In particular, this device is specifically for protection against serious events with a high energy content.

  • NTC – Temperature Control Built In

    An thermistor mounted on the LED board to protect the lighting fixture against overheating. Should the product function at an operating temperature greater than the maximum temperature at which it can operate correctly, the protection is activated and gradually reduces the power.

  • IP69 certification

    The protection rating IP69 indicates a device’s resistance to cleaning with high-pressure, high-temperature spray-downs. This solution is ideal for installations in any urban or industrial applications where heavy cleaning is carried out using high-pressure washers, including road tunnels. It guarantees functioning, resistance, service life and appearance even under these conditions (compliant with ISO 20653).
