The Theodor Aman Museum is one of Bucharest’s most elegant historic buildings, constructed in 1868 as the private residence of Theodor Aman himself, one of Romania's most important 19th-century artists. It was turned into a museum in 1908, and now houses most of Aman’s paintings.

Aman’s former home is one of the few buildings of that period in the Romanian capital whose structure has remained unaltered over the years. Its architectural design, external decoration and interior design clearly reflect the artist’s personal taste.

The light planning that has cast new light on the museum was the responsibility of LuceDomotica. They used Bright 3.G outdoor recessed lighting fixtures, with 5W power and 3000K LED colour. The fixtures are installed along the entire perimeter of the building. The chosen optics, 12°, create a concentrated light beam in a warm white tone that accents the pilasters at the building’s base, below the windows and capitals.

The same lighting fixtures have also been used at the entrance to the museum, behind the columns, to create a silhouette effect.
