The redevelopment of the pedestrian boulevards along the Vistula River by RS Architektura Krajobrazu landscape architects included the installation of lighting fixtures in the area in front of the monument of the Warsaw Mermaid, near the Swietokrzyski bridge.
Lighting designers Paweł Skulimowski and Michał Dziedzicki were responsible for the lighting project and chose the Rio Sub 2 linear profiles with diffuse optics, recessed into the paving in front of the monument.
They specifically chose devices suitable for underwater use (IP68) because the pedestrian boulevard along the river is subject to flooding. The Rio Sub’s IK10 rating guarantees maximum impact resistance, making this an ideal fixture for public spaces.
