The prestigious international accolade iF Design Award 2019 has been awarded to the new outdoor projector Ginko 3.0, the largest and most powerful member of the Ginko family. The device was first presented to the public at the most recent edition of the Light+Building fair in Frankfurt.
L&L Luce&Light's attention to design and technical features in creating the Ginko 3.0 was particularly appreciated by the 67 members of the jury of iF International Forum Design GmbH, which has been identifying and rewarding the most original and innovative projects for more than 65 years.
Ginko 3.0 was chosen out of 6400 candidate products from 50 countries around the world. The product will be included in the iF WORLD DESIGN GUIDE, in the section “Design Excellence”.
That Ginko 3.0 won the award reflects the innovative nature of this outdoor projector: it has two elliptical optics, adjusted manually with a magnet (patent pending), and a shadow-effect filter that recreates the natural dappled effect of light shining through foliage.
In addition to the standard finishes, Ginko is available in jasper green, a special finish developed specifically for use in landscape design.
Ginko also recently obtained IP69K certification (read about it here).
The iF design award night will be held on 15 March at BMW Welt in Munich.
